Debate Update and Prayer Requests

Hello, everyone. Blessings to you from God.

So the debate is getting rather heated. Sometimes I think I have gotten in over my head, but I know that it is all worth it. A few more people have joined the conversation, and it is...interesting to see everyone’s opinions. Admittedly, I get frustrated with a few of the new people, but I am trying to see things from their POV.
One of the things that is getting to me is the fact that many of the people who have commented expect me to give short answers to novel/essay answer questions. It is pretty aggravating. But I can do this! :)
I have been super tired lately. Other than the debate (which I know many of you are probably tired of by now) I have been working a couple part-time jobs, and I started a class, so between all those, the debate, and school, I am pretty whooped. Thanks so much for your time!! It really means tons.
Some things that you can pray about for me:
  • Wisdom with this debate!! Like I said, there are some rough waves out there, so prayers would be appreciated. :)
  • A couple friends of mine are in need of prayer. D as always, is still resisting Christ, but I think he is coming along. K needs some too. Umm my friend H is dealing with some depressed friends, so she could really really use some prayer.
  • My church life. Our church is struggling with some things-like all churches do. One of them being only one pastor. We are having a congregational vote on sunday, so prayer would be awesome.
  • Me in general. Work, school, training, a second job, the debate, it’s all running me down a bit. Also, strength to keep going in the great race. That I would constantly be reminded that God is in control.
  • Family life. Every family can use prayer. Budgets, classes, jobs, attitudes, it all adds up to family agitation. So please pray for us. :)

If you can think of anything else, please pray for it! I am tired and so I am sure that I forgot something.
Thanks so much for reading and praying.

Blessings from the almighty.

Have a great night. :)

“He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”

Poem by Dr. Robert L. Reymond

Here’s another poem I found while reading a theology book.

“I sought the Lord, and afterward I knew
He moved my soul to seek him, seeking me.
It was not I that found, O savior true,
No, I was found of thee.

Thou didst reach forth thy hand and mine enfold;
I walked and sank not on the storm-vexed sea,-
‘Twas not so much that I on thee took hold,
As thou, dear Lord on me.

I find, I walk, I love, but O the whole
Of love is but my answer, Lord to thee;
For thou wert long beforehand with my soul,
Always thou lovedst me.”

I don’t know, it just sounded kind of pretty and I liked it. It is pretty realistic. If you want to read it for yourself in the book, it’s in A New Systematic Theology of the Christian Faith. It is by Dr. Robert L. Reymond.

And update on the debate: So, I logged on today, and there was a lot that went on last night to read through. It seems like prototypep4 has a constant defense. When he gets angry, or if he knows  that he is beaten, he will insult both me and SK. He calls us stupid, and unintelligent, and tells us that we belong in mental hospitals. He called SK a pedophile, and the whole thing is pretty exhausting. It was exciting at first, I felt like I was at the center of everything. Like if I won over this guy, everything would be better. I still plan to follow through with this, but it is getting more exhausting as the days go on. I am glad I have someone to back me up, though.

Please pray for me, and for SK. I don’t know if he is as tired as I am, but I sure hope he doesn’t give up on it, because I won’t.

Thanks for reading. I appreciate it.

Blessings in Christ.

Have a great weekend <3

Debate Update: excitement and Stress

Hello, everyone :)

So here’s today’s update on what’s going on with the “debate” of sorts.
I logged on today and prototypep4 had not yet replied to my own and my ally (SK’s) comments.
So I can infer that either prototypep4 has backed down under evidence, or he has not yet seen the comments.
I have to admit that all of this has been both exciting and stressful at the same time. All the research and such, however, has been extremely enlightening. I have learned a lot more about religion than I knew before.
If you would like to talk to me about christianity, or religion in general, please feel free to contact me at trueloveneverdies1998@gmail.com or contact me indirectly at emmakooshian@gmail.com under the topic “religion” :)

Thanks so much for reading. I know today’s entry was short, but I didn’t have a ton to say. By the way, if any of you would like the full conversation, please let me know. I can either post it here, or I could just email it to you.

Thanks again for reading.
God bless.

Have a blessed day <3

'The Great Debate'

Hello, everyone :)
How has your week been so far?

I have had a very...therapeutic...or...educational week.
I am attempting to prove to an atheist the existence of God. This atheist has admitted to being open to the idea of a deity-whether or not it is God-but he requires proof from me. I would like some help. I would love some help from all of you. I really would. I am doing my best, partially the result of my father’s theology teaching, and partly the result of Persuasions by Douglas Wilson. I think I have him where I want him, but he refuses to tell me ultimately what he believes about creation. First he implied that he believed in the big bang and evolution, but then several comments later, he said he does not believe in creation! How can you not believe that there was ever creation? So either he believes that all of this always was, or he believes that he doesn’t know-in which case he is an agnostic-even if he doesn’t know that he is. He has said that he is an atheist, but all proof points to an agnostic. There are three different kinds of agnostic. The first says “I don’t know, but I wish I did.” the second says “I don’t know, and I don’t care.” the last says “I don’t know, you don’t know, and nobody can know.”. I am thinking at this point that the person is the last.
I do really want to hear your opinions on this matter. I could use some help, and even if not, I like hearing opinions on this type of thing.
I am sorry if the last few posts have been boring in your mind, but I am really dedicated to this. My sister told me today that I should just give up, and I said to her that if there is even a small itty bitty chance that God can use me to change this man, than I am going to take it.
I am not in this to prove that I know more than this man, I am in it to prove that all of us is aware that there is a God, all of us is aware that there are morals, all of us is aware-deep down-that we need help. I just need to pry deep enough to let him show himself. I am going to keep pursuing this. I am. I will probably keep sending updates.
Thanks for reading.
God bless. <3

Sermon-based poem

Good morning, lovelies. How are you today??
So here is a poem I wrote, I really like it. I got the inspiration from my pastor’s sermon yesterday, and also my youth group yesterday morning <3 :) Enjoy ;)

When the world seemed to drown,
I would call on my God.
The rain-it seemed-came down and down.
I hid in my abode.

My sin-it was a cloak
I used to hide away.
I distanced me from other folk
And got worse every day.

But then I heard a voice.
It whispered through the rain
It drew me near without a choice.
Said “you won’t be hurt again.”

It said to me, “My child,
Your sin is for the past.
Your chains are gone, so sing a song:
For you are free at last.”

When I’ve done my faithful part,
And all the world doth swell,
I know this now with all my heart:
My God does all things well.

And hence forever more,
I’ll reach the golden shore.
And then, at last, my Lord will pass
And love me nothing for.

Then, joy shall reign again.
We’ll see the face of God.
No sin, no cross, no pain, just cross.
And love shall come, my friend.

My sin-it was a cloak.
I used to hide away.
But now I sing to other folk

“When God found me that day”

Unashamed of the Love of Jesus Christ

Hello, my lovelies.
I just want every single one of you to know, I am a christian. If you don’t like that about me, then please feel free to stop following me or checking my blog. I don’t want to lose followers, and I would prefer that instead of unfollowing me, you would simply read through what I write and decide whether or not you think that what I believe is true. But also please refrain from insulting me.
I believe in the one true God, and I will never stop believing in him. You can speak badly about him, or me, or my friends, but nothing you say or do will ever change what I believe.
I appreciate your opinions, I really do, and I would like nothing more than to speak to you about why I believe in God. I do not speak badly about any of you, but I would just ask that in return, you would not insult me, speak badly about me, or give me a bad reputation among the members of the internet, or among those in real life.
Please and thank you.

God bless.

Have a wonderful weekend.

9/11/2014

It’s 9/11, folks. I would ask you to take a minute to send up a prayer for the families who were targeted by the planes.
The September 11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks launched by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The attacks killed almost 3,000 people and caused at least $10 billion in property and infrastructure damage. Four passenger planes were hijacked by 19 terrorists to induce suicide-attacks. Many were hurt, many were killed, and the effects struck millions.
“Before the Twin Towers collapsed, an estimated 200 people fell to their deaths from the burning towers, landing on the streets and rooftops of adjacent buildings hundreds of feet below. To witnesses watching, a few of the people falling from the towers seemed to have jumped including the person whose photograph became known as the Falling Man. The NIST report describes the deaths of 104 jumpers, but states that it likely understates the total number. The sight and sound of "one, two, three, four [jumpers], smashing like eggs on the ground" horrified and traumatized firefighter and police witnesses. The jumpers' death certificates, like most other victims', states the cause of death as homicide from "blunt trauma".
Some of the occupants of each tower above its point of impact made their way upward toward the roof in hope of helicopter rescue, only to find the roof access doors locked. Port Authority officers attempted to unlock the doors but control systems would not let them; in any case, thick smoke and intense heat would have prevented rescue helicopters from landing.
Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., an investment bank on the 101st–105th floors of One World Trade Center, lost 658 employees, considerably more than any other employer. Marsh Inc., located immediately below Cantor Fitzgerald on floors 93–100 (the location of Flight 11's impact), lost 295 employees and 63 consultants. Risk Waters was holding a conference in Windows on the World at the time, with 81 people in attendance.
John P. O'Neill was a former assistant director of the FBI who assisted in the capture of 1993 World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef and was the head of security at the World Trade Center when he was killed trying to rescue people from the North Tower. An additional 24 people remain listed as missing.
The average age of the dead in New York City was 40. The dead included eight children: five on American Airlines Flight 77 ranging in age from 3 to 11, three on United Airlines Flight 175 ages 2, 3, and 4. The youngest victim was a 2-1/2-year-old child on Flight 175, the oldest was an 85 year-old passenger on Flight 11. In the buildings, the youngest victim was 18 and the oldest was 79.”
I ask that you would think for a few minutes about all the families. Just to let them know that they are not forgotten.
I know going through hard times, it may seem like God is not there, and like He is just sitting up there, watching all the bad things happen, but I just want to remind you that He is there, and He is watching, and He is doing something. Everything that happens happens for a reason. It might seem like He is just laughing at you-trust me, I’ve felt it myself. But He’s not. He cares about every single last one of us, and He sheds a tear every time we do.
God bless the 9/11 victim families.

Have a wonderful Thursday <3

Future Family Resolutions

Hey, everyone! So I was thinking about marriage and my future husband (someday) because...yeah. I’m a teenage girl and look forward to that kind of thing ;)
Just so you all know:
Yes, I am single,
No I am not looking as of now ;)

I just like weddings :)
Anyways, back to the actual topic: I was sitting on my family;s lovely purple couch and thinking about weddings and kids and stuff and thought “Hey, my and my future husband need to like...make resolutions and stuff…” so I made a list. I call it “Nineteen Things.” And the subtitle is below. Enjoy ;)
“Future Family Resolutions”

  1. Do your best to make things fair, but teach the kids that sometimes life just isn’t.
  2. Music and stories: read, tell, sing, listen.
  3. Keep the house clean even when you don’t feel like cleaning. Find fun ways to do it so that you can teach your kids to crank the music to get it all done fast. Teach the kids that work is why God made us. ;)
  4. Second Chances (YES PLEASE!!! Teach and give!)
  5. Don’t make things to eat the no one except you likes. Accept criticism, but not whining as far as food goes
  6. Recreational events: Swimming, fishing, hunting, story time, movie night, anything to get us all together (preferably pick one night a week when no one is allowed to plan anything because it’s family night)
  7. Encourage everyone to read (and just entertain themselves in general)
  8. Playing outside!!!!! Bikes, play swords and shields or bow and arrows, wrestling with dad, hiking swimming, swings
  9. Be a good example in everything. Religion-wise, attitude-wise, and modesty-wise. Clean, read, dance, exercise, be healthy, have fun, play outside, be crazy ;)
  10. Teach true beauty
  11. Daily Devotions (family and personal)
  12. Listen!!!! Whether it be to both sides of an argument, or causes of a bad day, make a point of always listening.
  13. Find ways to make them listen up when you need their attention (I have found that saying “Clap once if you can hear me” and building up the claps until everyone is doing it is very efficient ;) )
  14. Let the kids know that they can be whoever and whatever they want. We are all identified by Christ. Be a janitor for Christ, be an author for Christ...etc. (even a princess! Just find an eligible prince to marry ;) )
  15. Teach them good manners (also find ways to make it fun)
  16. Make them tithe and save
  17. Teach senses of humor to everyone without unnecessarily hurting someone’s feelings by teasing.
  18. Show that you love your husband. Show affection in front of the kids so that they know how to someday treat their own spouse.
  19. Date Nights: Have one at least once a week. Just because you married him/her doesn’t mean you have to stop dating. Also, keep dressing up for him/her! *see previous sentence*

So there you have it. That’s my list, now I challenge you to make your own list of “Nineteen Things” to do to keep your future-or current-household in line, and accountable.
I would love to read your list of Nineteen Things! Please please email me! I would love to hear from you! Please push the subscribe button to the side of your screen, and I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a wonderful day.
Blessings!! <3
