Spring 2014

So today I did-get this- NOTHING PRODUCTIVE! Well, I did homework, but that counts as nothing productive. ;)

Anyways, that is not what I am going to talk about today. Today, I am going to talk about WEATHER! I. LOVE. SPRING. Today is-for me at least-the first day of spring. It is in the low 60s and there is a slight warm breeze. There is hardly a cloud in the sky no matter what the TV says. I am in love! I was so happy today! Time to break out the cut-offs and sandals! YAY! I am so grateful that it is not going to be a white Easter this year. I know that all of us here in MI were worried that it might be, but the sunshine pushed away all the gloom and it looks like we’ll be having a green Easter yet. :) I always thought up until today that my favorite season was Summer, but Summer can be too hot or too sunny. In the spring, there is sun, and a little wind, and it is neither too hot nor too cold-as winter often is in my opinion. Today is Zeeland MI there are the bluest skies there has been all year and the flowers are pushing out of the ground. No matter what the calendar says, this is the first day of spring in Zeeland. No more worrying about winter coats and snow pants and gloves. It is time to start getting excited about shorts and T-Shirts. I am so happy. If you don’t believe me, ask my family who took a walk with me. I nearly drove them all mad today telling them how happy I was that spring is finally here. When my cousin got out of school, I promptly yelled to him that it was finally spring and literally jumped up and down clapping my hands with excitement. The earth is shivering in anticipation, people! It’s time to let out all that Spring Crazy. :)

Lesson Learned...

Hey, everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. It has been a full week, and yet at the same time, uneventful. Surprising, though. A relative of mine whom I have not seen in over two years showed up unexpectedly. But enough of that...
What is up with me...?
I have been thinking about lessons that I have learned this week that may be helpful to you people out there who are following me, so since I am so short of perfect, and don't really pay any attention when God is trying to teach me a lesson, I had to think for a bit. I found something, though. This week, I actually RE-learned something that I have always known, but often forget. Prayer. This week I was constantly remembered that the Lord answers prayer. He may not always answer it in the ways that we want, but he always gives us an answer. He is a loving father. He gives only the answers that make the best difference in our lives. I also learned that prayer is always the best way to go! We should be first going to God with our problems, and then acting upon our wants. Not the other way around. So basically my point is, Always pray and pray in faith that your prayer will be answered. Not just as a routine. You get the best results with faith.

Hey, guys, so this is a story that I am randomly working on. Just for fun. I would like to know what all of you think should happen next. HELP ME! :) And pardon the language, please and thank you. :)

My hand lingered idly over my sketchbook page, deciding where to add shading to my clockwork angel. Marcus was speaking next to me, I could hear him, but if I were being completely honest with myself, I wasn’t listening at all.
“I mean, I guess I understand why punching him in the gut sounded like a good idea at the time, I mean he did call your dad a drunken bastard, but-” he rambled on. Then it hit me.
Who said what?!” I jerked my eyes away from the pad in front of me, gluing them to Marcus’s eyes.
Marcus rolled his pupils to the ceiling and narrowed his eyes to annoyed slits. “You weren’t listening at all, were you?”
All of a sudden, I felt the need to look at everything in the room but him. “Of course I was!”
“You were not! You do realize that it took you three minutes to process that Jose called your dad a drunken bastard?”
I pursed my lips and shut my notebook. “Sorry, Marcus. I have a lot on my mind right now.”
He snatched the sketchbook out of my hands and flipped through the pages, sneering maliciously.
“Like a certain Alex Runner whom you may have an ENORMOUS crush on?”
I reached for it back. “Shut up, Marcus!”
He held it just out of my arms’ length. I reached just a little too far and toppled on top of him. I felt his familiar frame beneath me. We lay like that for a moment before I broke the moment by taking back my book.
Thank you.” I said, and smiled triumphantly as I backed out the door. “I gotta go. Bye, Marcus! See ya!” I shut the door behind me and sat with my back to it for a moment chest heaving, cheeks burning.
I quickly bounded down the stairs and was soon off to school.

It's Too Loud!

Hello, everyone! I am at the library again. And for those of you who are wondering why I am always here, I get two full hours on the computer, and the library is only three blocks away from my house, so I come here a lot.
Today I walked in and my hopes of a quiet evening blogging totally shattered. There are people EVERYWHERE and they are being so loud that I can still hear them over my full-volume headset. I feel like just yelling at them all to shut up. Oh well. I shall have to survive. :)
Well, I am assuming that all of you are already far beyond bored with my story already, so I will tell you that that was not really why I am posting right now. I am in need of some serious serious story editors. Like dedicated, harsh, and specific. I need major help. I know that some of you are already helping, but at this point, I need someone who can take a look right now or very soon. Also, I have writer's block. I am in a severe writer's disaster right now, please help! If you would like to take a look at my story, then please comment your email to me. Thanks so much. The story is called The Heart's a Lonely Hunter, so now you know whether I have admitted you to my circle of peers. Thanks so much! I hope I get lots of you to help. :)

Lovely Cemetery

Hey, everyone! Weekend again. Gotta love it. :)

So I was thinking about cemeteries today, because-and this may seem creepy to some of you-I enjoy walking in the cemetery near our house. I know that some of you out there believe that a spirit will take over your mind or something if you don't hold your breath when you go past, and I was wondering what all of you think about them.

I personally don't believe any of that spirit stuff. I think that a cemetery is a cemetery. A place where loved ones are laid after they have passed on from this life.
The cemetery by our house is particularly beautiful. Very inspiring for a writer such as myself. I can find lots of different name combinations that fit magnificently with my story.
The birds sing all the time. It's pretty amazing. Also, if you stand on the very top of the hill in the morning right when the sun is rising, the sun points right at you and your shadow is like directly behind you.
I have gone to this particular cemetery several times and I plan on going there a lot more in the future.
Well, if you have a different idea of what a cemetery or graveyard is, or if you just want to word it differently, please comment or email me. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks so much for reading. I know today's post is not as cool as some others, but *lack of inspiration alert!* so if you have an idea about what my next post should be about, I am open to suggestions. Thanks again for reading. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
God bless.

A dear friend of my cousin's died of cancer today. Rest in peace, Alyssa.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I do not know Alyssa, but I know that she was dear to many people. I ask that you would carry her safely to be with you. I know that you loved her, and that there is a good reason why you took her to be with you. Her death has furthered your purposes in many ways, may it further them in many more. She was strong and beautiful, and she pushed through all the pain and suffering of this world. Bless her, Lord. Give her a room as close to you as is possible. I ask that you would comfort all her friends and family back here on earth with the knowledge that you wanted to see her beautiful face. Lord, I know that many are hurting because of her death. She had many friends, and she loved many people. She went through trial after trial and pulled through. Finally, you took away all the pain and brought her to be with you in a Heavenly paradise. Please bless those here on earth who showed love to her. They have done a great thing. Show mercy and love to all those who were loyal to her and supported her throughout her Cancer situation. May her death impact many lives and may she look down this night and pray with your saints for the Elect who are still here on earth. Lord, may her passing have been short and without pain.
We thank you for all your blessings, for the blessing of life, and the relief of death. We thank you that your son made it possible for us to die with hope.

In your Heavenly name,

"What If..."

Just a little pointless poem I made. Enjoy. :)

What if

What if books are real
And we’re the stories inside?

What if seals could deal
What if all the whales could fly?

What if a jello
Palace could go in the sky?

What if sketched drawings
Could float up off from the page?

And dark folks and light
People were treated the same?

Would our world be worse
Or would it better become?

If cows were in seas
And fish jumped over the sun?

What if no bullies
Were, would we all weaklings be?

What if not coffee
We were all obsessed with tea?

Would we be healthy
If we had tea, not coffee?

Not that it matters.

None of this will ever be.
